South Carolina Virtual Charter School Celebrates Start of Its 8th Year

Tuition-free online public school still accepting enrollments
COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina Virtual Charter School (SCVCS), a tuition-free, online public school, welcomes new and returning students for the 2015-2016 academic year, beginning August 17, 2015. SCVCS accepts students in grades K through 12 from across the state of South Carolina and takes an individualized approach to learning by combining online instruction and hands-on curriculum with the support of South Carolina-licensed teachers and an active school community.
Enrollments are still being accepted for this year. Families who are interested in the program are invited to attend one of the online information sessions to learn more from teachers, students and parents. Details can be found on the school website at http://scvcs.k12.com.

SCVCS provides courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as elective and Advanced Placement® courses for high school students. At SCVCS, college- or career-minded students can choose from a broad range of profession-focused courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future, discover their path after high school or explore a possible college major. Students use web-based lessons and hands-on instructional materials that are shipped to their home.
