South Carolinian Kathy McKinney Named to Important Post

The FHLBanks Office of Finance announced that South Carolinian Kathleen Crum (Kathy) McKinney has been named an Independent Director on the Office of Finance (OF) Board of Directors.  She is the first South Carolinian to serve in this capacity.

The 12 Federal Home Loan Banks are a system of regional banks from which local lending institutions everywhere in America borrow funds to finance housing, economic development, infrastructure, and jobs.

McKinney, a Shareholder of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., in its Greenville office is nationally-respected for her work in tax-exempt financing.  Currently, she is president of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, a 3,000-member organization.  In the past five years, she has been bond counsel for more than 100 revenue bond issues, resulting in $3 billion of capital investment in South Carolina.  McKinney, a USC Law School graduate, is past chair of the Furman University Board of Trustees. She is consistently included in The Best Lawyers in America® – Public Finance.
