Southern First Bancshares, Inc. Announces Promotions

COLUMBIA & GREENVILLE, SC – Southern First Bancshares, Inc. is pleased to announce the following promotions for Southern First Bank and Greenville First Bank.

Ashley Reese has been promoted to Client Service Specialist – AugustaRoad Office. Reese joined the bank in February 2010. She was previouslywith BB&T in Columbia, serving as a Teller and Relationship Banker.

Tiffany Beesley has been promoted to Client Service Specialist – Verdae Office, joining the ClientFIRST® relationship team of Art Seaver, Matt Kneeland and Debbie Tucker. Beesley joined the bank in November 2001 with various roles in the retail and credit areas. She was previously employed by Central Carolina Bank in Greenville, South Carolina and State Bank in Oklahoma.

 

Julie Fairchild has been promoted to Senior Vice President Controller. Fairchild joined the bank in May 2005 as internal auditor. She was formerly an Audit Manager with Elliott Davis. A graduate of Bob Jones University, she has a degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Writing.

 

 

Austin Goforth has been promoted to Vice President Team Leader. He joined the bank in May 2007 as a Management Associate after graduating from Clemson University with a Marketing degree.

 

 

 

Cathy Holden has been promoted to Vice President Teller Coordinator. With over 30 years of teller banking experience, Holden joined the bank in March 2003. She was most recently with Wachovia Bank as Float Teller and Teller Supervisor.

 

 

Chesley Huffman has been promoted to Teller Leader – Woodruff Road Office. Huffman joined the bank in August 2008 as a Teller, serving most recently as Interim Teller Leader. She was formerly with Wachovia Bank and Palmetto Bank, gaining Teller and Teller Management experience.

 

 

April Irwin has been promoted to Assistant Vice President BSA Officer. After joining the bank in December 2004 as a Teller, she was transferred to Deposit Operations and later named BSA Officer. Irwin has obtained CAMS certification and is a member of the InfraGard (SC Chapter).

 

 

William Johnston has been promoted to Assistant Vice President Market Manager – Parkway Office. Johnston joined the bank in February 2009 as a Client Service Specialist after graduating from Clemson University with an Economics degree and a Political Science minor.

 

 

Karla McCall has been promoted to Senior Client Service Specialist. McCall joined the bank in January 2006, coming from a Client Relations position with Wachovia Bank. She has 20 years retail banking experience.

 

Jane Saltz has been promoted to Teller Leader – Parkway Office. Saltz joined the bank in April 2008 as a Teller at the Parkway location. She has prior supervisory experience in the Hospitality Industry.
