Southern Tide Adds News Marketing Manager and Director of Merchandising

Southern TideGREENVILLE, SC – Southern Tide has hired Kathryn Hilton as marketing manager and Tyler North as director of merchandising. With years of experience in brand strategy, marketing efforts and management of product categories, Hilton and North will be assets to Southern Tide as the apparel company moves forward.

As marketing manager, Hilton will be responsible for all marketing and public relations for the company, including overseeing e-commerce efforts and Southern Tide’s brand ambassador program.

North will be responsible for managing design, assorting the collections and overseeing development of Southern Tide’s extensive array of products.

Hilton started her career at LACOSTE, serving in public relations and marketing roles. She also worked on brand strategy and marketing communications with Michelin and the Atlanta Bread Company. Her agency experience includes business-to-business marketing efforts for Verizon Wireless, and she also worked on a variety of marketing initiatives for companies in the education, finance, hospitality and consumer goods industries.

Prior to joining Southern Tide, North spent over 12 years at Abercrombie & Fitch, Co., where he last served as senior merchandise manager for male and female graphic tees and male underwear.  Throughout his time with Abercrombie & Fitch, Co., North’s responsibilities included assortment planning, product development, sourcing strategies and team development for both merchandising and design.

Hilton received her undergraduate degree in communications from Clemson University and her master of business administration with a focus on marketing from the University of Georgia.

North received his bachelor of science in merchandising from Ohio University.
