Southern Wesleyan University appoints new regional director
December 1, 2010CHARLESTON, SC -December 1, 2010 – Southern Wesleyan Universityannounces the appointment of Earlena Brown as regional director for theuniversity’s Charleston location.
I am thrilled to be leading Southern Wesleyan University’s locationin Charleston, Brown said. It is wonderful to be able to give workingadults an option for earning college degrees. I am passionate abouteducation and I am so pleased to be able to share that passion with theCharleston community.
Brown became regional director Aug. 18, but is no stranger to SouthernWesleyan University or the Charleston area. She worked for theuniversity 2001-06, first as site assistant and then as student servicescoordinator.
She was then employed at Grand Canyon University recruitingundergraduate and graduate candidates for its College of Education and,later, as enrollment manager, gaining additional experience in studentrecruiting. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in special education atLynchburg College and received her master’s degree in clinicalcounseling from Webster University.
Brown is pursuing her doctorate degree in psychology throughNorthcentral University. She lives in Summerville and attendsSummerville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
