SPARC Announces Leadership Change with Promotion of Marc Murphy to Chief Executive Officer

Current CEO and Founder Eric Bowman to Remain President of SPARC; Changes Effective October 2, 2014.
CHARLESTON, SC – SPARC today announced that Marc Murphy, current Chief Operating Officer, will be promoted to Chief Executive Officer effective October 2, 2014. SPARC founder and current CEO, Eric Bowman, will continue to serve as the company’s President and Chairman of the Board moving forward. In this role, Murphy will assume Chief Executive Officer responsibilities for SPARC, including its government, commercial, and product business units.

Having served in the government services sector with Deloitte and BearingPoint, and optimizing day-to-day operations since joining SPARC in March of 2013 as Chief Operating Officer, Murphy brings his years of leadership experience to the table as SPARC celebrates its five-year anniversary serving customers.
Murphy was formerly a Director at Deloitte Consulting. Since relocating from New Orleans to Charleston in 2008, he has had overall account operational leadership, capability development, and management responsibilities for Defense and Federal clients throughout the U.S. Marc is a 1993 graduate of Bucknell University with a M.S. of Systems Analysis, is a former Army Officer, and left service at the rank of Captain.
