Spartanburg County Foundation announces 2016 grant cycle

January 11, 2016

The Spartanburg County Foundation is excited to announce that in 2016 it will offer two responsive grant cycles. The Spring Cycle, now open, focuses on programmatic and general purpose grants and the Fall Cycle will focus on capacity-building grants. The Spartanburg County Foundation supports a wide variety of projects that clearly provide innovative responses to address the goals and/or priorities set forth by the Spartanburg Community Indicators Project, with a particular emphasis in the areas of Education and Social Environment.

Projects may benefit a single organization, a collaborative initiative, and/or a system of services that address issues as defined above. Grants usually range in size from $5,000 to $15,000. Larger grants may be considered at the discretion of the Trustees. All organizations interested in applying must be nonprofit organizations that are recognized as 501(c)(3) nonprofit and/or tax exempt entities providing services to the residents of Spartanburg County.

The Spring Cycle is currently open. The Request for Proposals is available on the Foundation’s website. Applications and all required supporting documents must be uploaded using the online grants submission process by Friday, January 29, 2016.
