Spartanburg Water announces new hire in purchasing

Spartanburg Water announced the employment of Darlene Thomas in the position of Sr. Procurement Specialist for the Purchasing department. In her role, Darlene will develop bid documents and assist with the administration and execution of contracts for goods and services.

Darlene has over 7 years of experience in the Purchasing field, including 5 years of public procurement experience for Richmond City Public Schools in Richmond, VA and, most recently, for the City of Norfolk, VA.

Darlene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a Master’s Degree in Arts and Sciences.
