Treatment foster care is working with children with history of neglect, abuse and trauma. SAFY foster parents are provided with the training, support and in home services to meet the needs of children who have behaviors due to their trauma and neglect.
You don’t need to be a perfect parent to foster ….. but you do have to have the heart and compassion!
Other ways you can help ….
As a non-profit, SAFY of South Carolina always welcome new and needed items such as; underwear, toiletries, and socks to name a few. All new items andmonetary donations are tax deductible.

What are the qualifications to become a SAFY Foster Parent?
We invite married couples, partnerships, single adults, empty nesters, and retired families
,/ You must be 21 years or older
,/ You must have a stable income to support yourself
,/ HS diploma/GED
./ Pass a background check
,/ Attend 32 hour pre-service trainings
,/ Have the time, love, and commitment for a child
