Inbound Sales Representatives Can Earn More than $55,000 Annually, with Comprehensive Benefits and Career-Growth Opportunities

Spectrum and South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster today announced plans for the company to hire 350 new inbound sales representative and management positions at its West Columbia call center by the end of 2022. Gov. McMaster and Spectrum leaders were joined by state Sen. Katrina Healy, Lexington County Chairman Scott Whetstone and a host of other elected, community and business leaders for the announcement.

“Spectrum continues to demonstrate what more and more companies across the country are discovering every day: South Carolina is the right place to grow business,” said Gov. McMaster. “Spectrum’s continued ability to expand across our state shows that we are providing the business environment, infrastructure and skilled workforce that businesses need.”

Inbound Sales Representatives handle calls from potential and current customers interested in Spectrum Internet®, Mobile, TV, and Voice services from across the company’s 41-state service area. These full-time, growth-opportunity roles offer a variety of shifts and highly competitive base pay, with lucrative commissions and incentive opportunities: Representatives who reach their targets earn more than $55,000 annually on average, with top performers earning $80,000 or more. Interested candidates can learn more and apply online at Spectrum’s Careers site.

“Our inbound sales team plays a vital role in attracting customers and matching our services with the customer’s needs,” said Tony Guevara, Senior Vice President of Inbound and Outbound Sales at Charter Communications, Inc., which offers services under the Spectrum brand. “We know that South Carolina offers an educated and motivated workforce — we already have more than 3,100 employees across The Palmetto State, including 1,000 at our West Columbia campus. Now we are looking for more talented professionals with a passion for sales, who are ready to build a career as we meet the growing demand for our high-value Spectrum services.”

In addition to unlimited earning potential and career-growth opportunities, employees receive comprehensive health benefits, and for nine consecutive years, Charter has absorbed the full annual cost increase of medical, dental and vision coverage.

The company also offers employees a market-leading retirement plan, with a 401(k) that matches the first 6% of employee contributions, plus a Retirement Accumulation Plan with an additional 3% company contribution, for which most employees are eligible. Charter employees can also receive up to $5,250 per year in education assistance, as well as complimentary and discounted pricing on Spectrum Internet®, TV and Mobile services.

“Spectrum’s decision to expand and create 350 new jobs in Lexington County is tremendous news,” said state Sen. Katrina Shealy. “As we work to recover from the pandemic, there is no doubt that these kinds of opportunities will be a major economic boost for our workforce. This points to our county’s business-friendly environment, talented workforce and Spectrum’s commitment to this area.”

The new jobs expand upon Spectrum’s existing workforce of more than 1,000 employees at its West Columbia campus, which is conveniently located near I-26 and the University of South Carolina. Between 2021 and 2023, the company will invest more than $2 million in technology and workplace investments to further upgrade the campus.

Charter Communications provides equal opportunities for employment and advancement to qualified employees and applicants. Individuals will be considered for positions for which they meet the minimum qualifications and are able to perform without regard to race, color, gender, age, religion, disability, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, current unemployment status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws.
