Spectrum promotes cable veteran Charlie Agius to South Regional Vice President of Field Operations

GREER, SC – Spectrum announced Charlie Agius has been promoted to Regional Vice President of Field Operations for the company’s South Region, which comprises the company’s cable systems serving millions of customers across Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Upstate South Carolina, Western North Carolina, parts of Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle. Agius succeeds Henry Pearl, who announced his retirement in October.
Agius, who will be based in Greer, SC, served most recently as Area Vice President of Field Operations for the company’s Northern Manhattan management area in New York City.
“Charlie’s career is highlighted by his keen focus on strategic organizational performance across all areas of Field Operations,” said John Quigley, Senior Vice President of Field Operations for Charter Communications, which operates the Spectrum brand of broadband, video, mobile and voice services. “His vast industry knowledge will allow him to diagnose operational gaps, create strategies and develop tactical plans to improve performance and enhance the experience for our customers across the South Region.”
As Regional Vice President of Field Operations, Agius reports to Quigley and will lead the field operations workforce, including the local technicians who perform installation and service calls in customers’ homes and businesses, as well as maintenance, design and construction of local broadband networks.
Agius began his 40-year industry career as an installer, and spent 28 years at Cablevision in the New York City market, holding a series of operations leadership roles before joining Charter in April 2017. His background also includes leadership roles in sales administration and local operations management.
