SpiritLine Cruises has expanded its group sales team to better service Charleston’s fast-growing special events and wedding market.

Sally Harper joins SpiritLine as senior sales and event manager. Harper has extensive experience in event management, marketing and sales. She most recently worked for Lowcountry Park Venues, which included managing the Cooper River Room and Sweetgrass Pavilion at Mount Pleasant’s Waterfront Park. She previously served as the venue manager for the Lighthouse and Cottage on the Creek in Mount Pleasant, working with corporate and wedding clients on hundreds of events. Before coming to Charleston, Harper worked on events and festivals in New York City.

Rounding out the sales team are Wes Creed and Brogan Knight.

Creed, a graduate of the University of South Carolina, has been working with SpiritLine for three years. He started in the ticket office and has worked his way up to his new position in group sales where he will focus largely on booking group dinner cruises.

Knight, a native of Summerville, studied art history at Trident Technical College. She has experience in the local food and beverage industry, including managing events, fundraisers and catering for Kickin’ Chicken for five years. She also managed the VIP experience at Republic Garden & Lounge, a downtown Charleston nightclub. Knight will work closely with Harper to coordinate sales and events.

“As Charleston continues to be a top spot for weddings, corporate events and fundraisers, it makes sense for us to grow our group sales team,” said Ian Harris, director of sales and marketing. “We want to provide the very best service to our customers and ensure they have a memorable experience aboard one of our beautiful boats.”
