Sports medicine physician joins Tidelands Health Family Medicine

Dr. Ryan Antonawich, D.O., CAQSM, has joined Tidelands Health Family Medicine at Holmestown Road, bringing experience caring for athletes at the high school, collegiate, professional, and military levels.
Dr. Antonawich provides comprehensive family medicine care for patients of all ages, helping individuals and families stay healthy throughout every stage of life. In addition to preventive care and chronic disease management, he has specialized training in sports medicine and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
Dr. Antonawich also specializes in concussion management and ultrasound-guided injections, offering patients advanced, nonsurgical treatment options close to home.
A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Antonawich completed his family medicine residency at McLaren Bay Region Family Medicine and went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Throughout his training, Dr. Antonawich gained extensive experience caring for athletes at every level of competition. He provided medical coverage for Division I athletics at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University, as well as professional soccer athletes with Union Omaha. His sports medicine experience also includes caring for high school athletes, military service members, combat sport athletes competing in boxing and mixed martial arts events, and pediatric athletes in specialized sports medicine and concussion clinics.
Dr. Antonawich is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine (CAQSM).
Tidelands Health Family Medicine provides comprehensive primary care services, including annual wellness exams, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
