Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health reschedules national Converge Autism Summit in light of COVID-19

  • Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, bestselling author Ron Suskind and internationally acclaimed autism researcher Peter Vermeulen, Ph.D., to deliver keynote addresses.

Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health, an autism-focused residential behavioral health center, announced today new dates for its 4th annual Converge Autism Summit, to be held at the Greenville Convention Center on Oct. 15-16, 2020.

“After careful consideration regarding the health and safety of our attendees, employees, and guest speakers, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the conference amid increased concerns and regulations regarding COVID-19,” said Springbrook CEO Mike Rowley. “We are delighted that our full lineup of A-list guest speakers graciously made arrangements to join us at this later date so that we can continue to provide a forum for one of the largest gatherings in the autism community and share information about what matters most to them.”

The Converge Autism Summit attracts over 500 professionals, teachers, parents and caregivers from across the globe for the opportunity to hear from leading experts on educational, psychological social and therapeutic topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorder. The summit provides resources and assistance to caregivers, providers, teachers, and parents of children, teens and adults with autism.

Keynote speakers for the event include Ron Suskind, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, bestselling author and the founder of Sidekicks technology used to support those with autism and their families; and Peter Vermeulen, Ph.D., internationally respected autism researcher, founder of Autism in Context and author of more than 15 books on autism published in several countries around the world.

Also speaking at the 2020 Converge Autism Summit are professionals of Youth Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Advocacy, and Family Therapy, including experts from Springbrook medical and therapy teams.

Individuals who already purchased tickets, vendor space, or sponsorships for the event originally scheduled for April 2020 will have the option to transfer their ticket to attend the Converge Autism Summit in October or receive a refund. Individual emails will be sent to current paid attendees, vendors, and sponsors.
