Stacey Young Promoted to Human Resources Manager for Verizon

COLUMBIA, SC – January 24, 2008 – Verizon Wireless has promoted Stacey L. Young to Human Resources manager for the company’s Call Center in Columbia.

Young oversees the center’s recruitment, retention, employee relations, training and development, benefits and salary administration for the facility’s 1,500 employees. She manages a staff of eight human resource professionals.

Young brings almost a decade of HR experience to her new role. She joined Verizon Wireless in 2000 as a Human Resources coordinator. She later served as an HR analyst and then consultant before serving as Acting HR Manager last year.

Verizon Wireless customers continue to be the most loyal in the wireless industry. According to recent data released by the nation’s largest wireless carriers, Verizon Wireless had the lowest customer churn (turnover) rate in the third quarter of 2007 for the 12th consecutive quarter.
