Stacie Thompson Named Manager of Grassroots Mobilization

COLUMBIA, SC – September 30, 2013 – The New Morning Foundation announced the promotion of Stacie Thompson to the position of Manager of Grassroots Mobilization.

In her new position, Stacie will develop, recruit and manage a statewide network of influential community-based partner organizations. She will develop and empower a strategic activist mobilization system to utilize local volunteers and community leaders to communicate with policymakers on the need for responsible reproductive health policies.

“This is a phenomenal opportunity for South Carolina leaders,” said Thompson. “I am honored and excited to be a part of this growing network, and look forward to the great things we will accomplish.”

A native of Anderson, South Carolina, Stacie is the former Executive Director of IMPACT, a nonprofit youth development organization. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in youth development, and holds a Master’s degree in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University.
