October 17, 2023

Moore Bradley Myers (MBM) Partner, Stanley Myers, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on September 27, 2023. Together with the Myers family, the Moore Bradley Myers law firm, announces the launch of the Stanley & Tashia Myers Foundation.

In honor of Stanley, his wife Tashia, and the Myers family, and to continue the work he was most passionate about; the purpose of the Foundation will be the enrichment and the education of the young people of Stanley’s hometown of Swansea and young people across his home state of South Carolina.

As a Citadel alumnus, and 4-year starting quarterback for the Bulldogs, Myers was elected to the Citadel Board of Visitors. He also served on the Lexington Medical Center Board of Directors and was the founder of the Swansea Mentoring Program. Every Christmas, Stanley proudly hosted the Town of Swansea’s Bike Bonanza; and in 2022, Stanley opened the Countryside BBQ Restaurant in his hometown. Myers deployed as a Captain with the 218th Infantry Brigade to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a Lieutenant Colonel that served as the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) for the 59th Troop Command at McEntire Joint National Guard Base.

His service and spirit of giving back to the community will remain unparalleled.

MBM Partner, James E. “Ward” Bradley commented about his law partner and longtime friend, “While it is still hard to process this immense loss we all feel, the Stanley & Tashia Myers Foundation will provide a way to honor Stanley’s life and legacy and to keep his passion for the community he grew up in and called home at the forefront of our hearts and minds.”

He is survived by his beloved wife and children, Tashia, LJ, and Hayley. Stanley was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. His jubilant and energetic approach to every aspect of his life will be remembered by all.
