Stantec expands Transportation and Community Development teams in South Carolina

Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, has welcomed three professionals to its growing Transportation and Community Development practices in Charleston and Columbia.

Devesh Kumar has joined Stantec’s Charleston office as a Traffic Analyst in its Transportation practice. He brings more than three years of experience in both transportation engineering and planning studies. He is well-versed with traffic impact analysis, traffic studies, corridor studies, and conceptual roadway design. He has experience working with software packages such as Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS. Devesh is a Charleston resident and a graduate of the Clemson University.

John Primm has also joined the Charleston office as a Civil Engineer in its Community Development practice. He brings more than five years of experience producing and designing water and sewer distribution, industrial, education, residential, and commercial projects. He is well-versed at project scheduling and coordination, site layouts, permitting, hydrologic/hydraulic studies, site and roadway grading, and utility layouts. John is a Charleston resident, a graduate of Clemson University, and a registered engineer in South Carolina.

Brett Harrelson has joined Stantec’s Columbia office as a Senior Traffic Engineer in its Transportation practice. He brings more than 30 years of experience with SCDOT where he recently served as state safety engineer responsible for directing the highway safety office. He is well-versed in traffic and safety engineering studies, crash data prediction and analyses, and road safety assessments and recommendations. Brett is a Columbia resident, a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and a registered engineer in South Carolina.
