Online Entrepreneurial Resource Connector will Give Self-Starters Resources to Thrive Long-Term
After months of planning, StartGrow Upstate is excited to officially announce their website launch, StartGrowUpstate.com. The Upstate Entrepreneur Ecosystem, a Ten at the Top driver area, worked together to find this premier resource connector to provide an array of information, events, and assets to help business owners and entrepreneurs succeed with their endeavors.
The online platform is user-friendly for entrepreneurs at all stages and can generate available resources through specific search terms or navigate through the Explore, Programs, Organizations or Events pages. The main benefit of this resource connector is that searches can be filtered by various characteristics to ensure resources are unique based on individual needs. These filters can include type of founder, such as veteran or underserved, type of industry, along with type of resource needed.
“Connecting entrepreneurs to available resources has long been a focus of Ten at the Top’s Upstate Entrepreneur Ecosystem,” said, Dean Hybl, Executive Director of Ten at the Top. “The solution was found in EcoMap, an online platform model utilizing technology to make it easy to find and promote resources and build strong entrepreneurial communities.”
For those who are interested in learning about financial resources, there is also a page dedicated to specific funding resources. Under the Funding page, resources for Hispanic entrepreneurs, artists, high impact, micro, and main street founders are also listed. Types of funding that can be utilized include angel investors, accounts receivable, crowdfunding and loans from non-traditional lenders. StartGrow Upstate is also a tool for anyone who assists business owners with day-to-day operations, such as accountants, real estate professionals and outsourcing groups.
“As Board Chair of Ten at the Top and a business owner, I know the importance of being able to locate resources needed to start and grow an Upstate business,” said Terence Roberts, Board Chair of Ten at the Top. “This innovative platform will provide the resources our local entrepreneurs, small business, and entrepreneur service providers need to thrive.”
Volunteers of Ten at the Top’s Upstate Entrepreneur Ecosystem originally had the vision for a resource navigator of some type. After hearing from a variety of entrepreneurs that they could not find helpful resources to help them start and grow their businesses, they ultimately determined that a platform needed to be created to fill this gap. The solution was found with an entrepreneurial business, Ecomap, which developed software that has populated the site with resources to ultimately provide the Start Grow Upstate website for entrepreneur use and utilization.
