State Rep. Mark Willis endorses Rick Shealy for SC House District 14
October 5, 2026State Rep. Mark Willis, R-Fountain Inn, has endorsed Rick Shealy in his campaign for South Carolina House District 14.
Shealy, the Republican nominee, is on the ballot in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Willis, who represents neighboring House District 16, said Shealy has the background and character to serve Laurens County well in Columbia.
“Rick is a man of his word who built a successful business before moving to Cross Hill to farm,” Willis said. “He knows what it takes to meet a payroll and what it takes to work the land, and he understands the issues that matter to families, farmers and small business owners. I am glad to support him.”
An eighth-generation South Carolinian, Shealy has called Laurens County home for more than 15 years. He runs the family farm in Cross Hill with his son, Steven, a Marine Corps veteran.
Shealy said the endorsement reflects growing support for his campaign across the region.
“I am grateful for Mark’s endorsement,” Shealy said. “Every endorsement tells me more people are ready for a strong conservative voice for District 14. I will go to Columbia to fight for lower taxes, safer roads and the rights of property owners, and I will always put the people of this district first.”
Early voting for the Nov. 3 general election runs Monday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at designated early voting centers.
