Statewide Adoption Day means a forever home for nearly 80 children

The SC Department of Social Services recognizes November as National Adoption Month and November 25^th is proclaimed by Governor McMaster as Statewide Adoption Day in SC. Nearly eighty (80) children are scheduled to be adopted by 60 families and in family courts in Anderson, Charleston, Horry, and Sumter Counties.

Many families have agreed to share their stories about their journey to becoming a forever family for a deserving child. Family court judges in all courts will allow media to be present and DSS officials will be on hand to help coordinate interviews.
