Steven Farrar selected to National Foundation for Judicial Excellence Board

March 28, 2018

Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP announced that Steven E. Farrar has been selected to the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE) board of directors.

Farrar, based in Greenville, is an experienced trial lawyer who also brings the business sensibility of having worked as a Certified Public Accountant to each of his cases. He also serves as the firm’s Assistant General Counsel and Risk Manager and is a certified civil mediator by the South Carolina Bar Association.

Recently, Farrar served as President of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The FDCC is an international legal organization founded to further the principles of knowledge, justice and fellowship, and membership is limited to select attorneys who have displayed achievement in their field and leadership in the practice of law.

The NFJE supports a strong, independent, responsive judiciary by providing officers of the courts with educational programs and other tools that enable them to perform at their highest level.
