Grand Opening of New Home For Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community’s Award-Winning Homecare Division, Solutions for Living at Home, And Growing Human Resources Division.

Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community announces the grand opening of its newest building, located at 700 Knox Abbot Drive in West Columbia. The 8,000 square foot building was renovated and upgraded in partnership with GMK Associates, Columbia. It sits across from the entrance to Brooklyn Cayce High School and next to the S.C. Farm Bureau, and grows the retirement community’s West Columbia campus to 45 acres.

The refreshing and inviting space is a new home for Still Hopes’ homecare ministry, Solutions for Living at Home, as well as its Human Resources department. Moving these functions into a more accessible, highly visible location is a testament to Still Hopes’ dedication to excellence and innovation, and to the significant growth that the non-profit organization has experienced over the past ten years.

Solutions for Living at Home, Still Hopes’ homecare ministry, is the recent recipient of 2023 Home Care Pulse’s Best of Home Care-Leader in Customer Experience, Home Care Provider of Choice, and Home Care Employer of Choice awards. Solutions offers homecare services throughout the Midlands. Solutions Director, Esther Ilderton, reflects, “We have come a long way since Solutions’ founding in 2008, and look forward to expanding our geographic footprint and the services we offer our clients. This new space makes it easy to feel inspired towards that growth!”

As one of the largest employers in Cayce/West Columbia, Still Hopes represents jobs for almost 700 midlands workers. A recent Economic Impact study, completed by the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, shows that Still Hopes provides an estimated $50 million in annual impact to the South Carolina economy. HR Director, Leigh Anna Compton stated, “We are thrilled with our new home. It is a great setting for us to meet prospective employees, conduct the hiring process, and provide quality continuing education and training for our employees; all part of our efforts to make a positive impact on those we serve and the lives we touch.”

CEO, Danny Sanford reflects on Still Hopes’ role in Cayce, West Columbia, and the South Carolina Midlands, “This new addition to our campus is a natural progression of our ever-changing ministry to seniors. We continue to grow our services, thereby needing more quality staff on a steady basis. The Home Care operation is pressured externally to grow due to the ever-increasing need for the kinds of services it provides our community. This new location situated along Knox Abbott Drives gives us the best profile possible for attracting the staff we need, and provides room for continuing growth of both of these vital components of our ministry organization.”
