STIR to celebrate grand opening in downtown Greenville on June 9

Restaurant to open daily for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch featuring a refined cocktail program, oyster and cold bar, and modern takes on classic dishes

SquareOne Holding Company announced its plans to open STIR Greenville in the North of Broad District in the heart of downtown on June 9th. STIR will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch featuring a cocktail bar with house-made syrups and artisanal ice, an oyster and cold bar, and a menu of made-from-scratch dishes that place a modern twist on global-inspired American cuisine.

The new 6,000-square-foot restaurant will mark STIR’s debut in South Carolina and be located in the 300 E. McBee Avenue building currently being redeveloped by Hughes Commercial Properties. The restaurant was constructed by Dovetail Construction and will have the capacity to accommodate more than 400 guests. In addition to a bar area with soft seating as well as a large dining area, STIR includes an expansive dog-friendly patio and open-air bar with roll-up doors.

“STIR has become a regional favorite in the Southeast since the opening of our first location in Chattanooga almost 10 years ago, and we are excited to bring the restaurant’s creative approach to craft cocktails, fresh and seasonal seafood, and made-from-scratch dishes to downtown Greenville,” said General Manager Montario Washington. “We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike to experience STIR’s unique energy and unmatched approach to hospitality.”

As part of STIR’s guest experience, artisanal ice takes center stage with 300-pound blocks of crystal-clear ice frozen in-house and hand-carved daily. Each cut is meticulously tailored to individual cocktails and designed to control dilution and enhance flavor. STIR’s cocktail program includes more than 300 premium spirits, house-made syrups and cordials, and a curated list of vintage wines crafted by a team of expert bartenders.

The oyster and raw bar features a rotating selection of premium Atlantic Coast oysters and a signature house oyster, along with seasonal seafood dishes, including seafood towers designed for sharing. STIR’s made-from-scratch kitchen draws on globally inspired techniques using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create high-quality dishes. Weekend brunch highlights modern takes on American classics and handcrafted $5 mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, in addition to a cold bar with fresh pastas and salads. STIR will also offer semi-private event spaces for corporate functions and special occasions, as well as offsite catering.

Through SquareOne Holding Company’s SquareUp Foundation, STIR will donate a portion of its opening proceeds to support Clement’s Kindness’ mission to meet the medical, emotional, and financial needs of upstate families impacted by pediatric cancer. “We are grateful to SquareOne Holding Company for including Clement’s Kindness in the opening celebrations of STIR,” said David Caldwell, Chair of Clement’s Kindness. “Their dedication to supporting local causes that impact families and neighbors every day is truly appreciated, and we are excited to welcome STIR to the Greenville community.”

STIR’s hours of operation will be 11:00 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Fridays; 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturdays; and 10:00 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. Brunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday, and live music will be added to Sunday brunch at a later date. Valet parking will be available to restaurant patrons Wednesday through Saturday during dinner service, in addition to Saturday and Sunday brunch.
