Stitch Up Something Special at the Clinton Library: Sew Your Own Belt Bag or Neck Purse

May 5, 2025

The Clinton Library is once again inviting the community to get creative with a hands-on sewing project that’s both practical and fun. On Monday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m., join library staff and fellow makers at the new Clinton Library branch (304 W. Pitts Street) for a repeat of one of their most popular programs—“Sew Your Own Belt Bag or Neck Purse.”

Inspired by Renaissance fair style and cosplay fashion, this engaging workshop lets participants create a festive belt bag or neck purse to wear as part of a costume or simply to add flair to your everyday outfit. No prior sewing experience is required—just bring your creativity!

The event is free and open to the public and is designed for participants ages 8 and up. All materials will be provided.

For more information, contact the Clinton Library at 864-547-1845 and make plans to stitch up some fun on May 13.
