STOP THE BLEED Training Draws Crowd at CrossFit864

CrossFit864 hosted a free course this past weekend in hopes of equipping more people with lifesaving first aid skills.

With bleeding as the number one cause of preventable death after injury minutes can make the difference between life and death.

Those attending the STOP THE BLEED® course learned life saving skills to help them respond in emergency situations.

Click on the photos in the gallery below to see participants in the class working to refine their skills.  Training included how to respond in an emergency, how to apply tourniquets, wound packing, airway management and more. the class format includes a short lecture and then hands on practice of life-saving measures.

“We were very pleased with the turnout and interest in the class,” said Jay Long, owner of CrossFit864.  “Based on the response and feedback from those who attended, we plan to offer additional training sessions in the future.”
