Studio 2LR continues growth with addition of three emerging design professionals

Studio 2LR welcomed three talented emerging professionals to its architectural team: Cara Welker, Scott Dillon, and Ania Suber. As the firm’s portfolio continues to expand across higher education, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and civic markets, these new team members bring fresh perspectives, diverse experiences, and a shared passion for thoughtful, community-focused design.
A native of Albemarle, North Carolina, Cara Welker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte before completing her Master of Architecture at Clemson University. During her graduate studies, she served as the Clemson School of Architecture Student Representative on the AIA Greenville Board, demonstrating a commitment to leadership and professional engagement. She looks forward to becoming an active member of Columbia’s design community.
A Columbia native, Scott Dillon joins Studio 2LR after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Music from Clemson University. His creative background, combined with his architectural education, brings a thoughtful and collaborative perspective to the design process. Outside the office, Scott enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, watching movies, and playing the piano.
Also joining the firm is Ania Suber, a Columbia native and graduate of Clemson University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Business Administration from Clemson University. At the end of the summer, Ania will return to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to continue pursuing dual master’s degrees in Architecture and Information Technology, with a concentration in Human-Centered Design.
