Studio 2LR, Inc. Architecture + Interiors relocating to new location on Main Street

April 14, 2016

Studio 2LR, an architecture and interior design firm with an emphasis on sustainable contemporary design, will be relocating their offices from 801 Gervais Street to 2428 Main Street in late Summer, 2016.

Wes Lyles, President of Studio 2LR, says “We are excited to be moving our offices to the Cottontown neighborhood. As we searched for places to relocate our firm, this part of Main Street stood out as a unique, growing, and historically rich area. Our diverse architecture and interior design work includes historic renovations and industrial building types, so our circa 1938 building with its industrial character will reflect our firm well.”

Buchanan Construction will act as General Contractor for the building renovation. Davis Buchanan noted “We enjoy working with Studio 2LR and are thrilled to be on the team to renovate their new offices. This is exciting stuff; they are moving to a vibrant part of town with lots of local character. When finished, their new office will be part of the evolving, sustainable growth of the area and we are excited to be a part of it.”

The building first housed the American News Company and later became home to Wilson Upholstery in the 1960s. Purchased in April by Wes Lyles, Gretchen Lambert, and Tripp Riley, the building will include meeting and office spaces as well as an open design studio.
