Stupid Strategies – Just do something stupid

Just do something stupid

Forrest Gump had it right. Stupid is as stupid does.

Most Gump fans misunderstood Forrest.

Forrest was an innocent. He didn’t know any better.

He just did a lot of stupid things that worked out well.

He was successful despite those stupid decisions.

It may be that Forrest didn’t know they were stupid.

So he did them and look how it turned out.

A lot of smarter people wouldn’t have tried them.

And they will never enjoy his success.

Since childhood we’ve heard it from our parents.

We’ve heard it from teachers, coaches and friends.

Even old Uncle Charlie who had bad breath.

The one with the sour expression etched into his face.

All of them told us, “Don’t be stupid.”

As if being stupid is somehow sinful.

That it would damn us to eternal hell.

It won’t. In fact, it might be the smartest strategy.

There’s value in taking risks and doing stupid things.

We all do them. It’s part of the human condition.

We might as well do them intentionally and benefit.

Just like Forrest, stupid things can be successful.

Look at what Christopher Columbus achieved.

It took two important people to believe in him.

And two new continents were discovered.

Look at what Thomas Edison accomplished.

He didn’t let failure or naysayers deter him.

Look at Nikki Haley. Her odds were impossible.

Today she’s the governor of our state.

Over the next few weeks we’ll talk about this.

You’ll discover stupid strategies that pay off.

They can change your profits, income and life.

Other have profited from these Stupid Strategies.

• Look for those who have what you need.

• Find people who share your vision.

• Show them the benefit if the strategy works.

• Don’t let the naysayers rob you of your vision.

• Laugh at those who would laugh at you.

• Find true believers who will join and back you.

We have been practicing this strategy for 20 years.

I explain how we did this in a video at:
