Summer Meals Available for Local Youth Starting June 2
May 27, 2025Laurens County School District 56 is making sure no child goes hungry this summer.
Beginning Monday, June 2, free summer meals will be available for all children and teens ages 18 and under through the Laurens County School District 56 Child Nutrition Program. The initiative offers both on-site lunch options and convenient weekly pickup meals at select locations.
On-Site Lunch at Clinton High School
Families can bring children to Clinton High School for lunch Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Meals must be eaten on-site.

Only one lunch will be served per child per day.
Weekly Meal Pickup at Joanna-Woodson Elementary
For added convenience, families may also pick up seven days’ worth of lunches every Monday at Joanna-Woodson Elementary School between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Pickup service is only available on Mondays.

Children do not need to be present at pickup, but meals are only for children and teens 18 and under.
All meals are provided free of charge, and no registration or paperwork is required.
This program is part of a federal initiative to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals even when school is not in session. Laurens County School District 56 proudly participates as an equal opportunity provider.
