SunTrust Bank Celebrates Fifth Anniversary in Charleston

Special Activities Planned in the Branches
CHARLESTON, SC – On Monday, April 4, 2006 SunTrust opened its first branch in Charleston. Throughout the month of April 2006 an additional four branches were opened in the tri-county area. Today SunTrust has a total of 13 branches.
To acknowledge and thank their clients for the support over the past five years SunTrust will have a client appreciation celebration during the week of April 25 in all of the tri-county branches. Clients will enjoy refreshments in the branches and there will be a drawing for a 42” Plasma HDTV flat screen TV to help commemorate the fifth anniversary celebration.
Mark Lattanzio, SunTrust Charleston president said of the anniversary, “We are very proud of the impact we have made in the tri-county over the past five years both with our banking capabilities and our team’s community service. To progress from a no presence in the market place to having a comprehensive network of thirteen branches without purchasing another bank’s assets is a strong market commitment. In addition SunTrust Mortgage has five separate mortgage centers in the tri-county area.”
Lattanzio continued, “Not only has SunTrust expanded its footprint but our employees are very active in the community. We believe if you build your community you build your bank and that has served us well. SunTrust has strategically invested in the tri-county area through sponsorships, volunteerism and foundation giving. Most recently SunTrust was very visible as a sponsor of the Family Circle Cup women’s tennis tournament on Daniel Island. SunTrust is very committed to the tri-county area and plans to further expand our branch locations over the next several years.”
