Supporting the Family of Fireman Michael Vinson: Car Wash Fundraiser Scheduled in Clinton

April 5, 2024

In the wake of tragedy, communities often come together to support those affected. This sentiment holds especially true in Clinton, where a car wash fundraiser has been organized to aid the family of the late Fireman Michael Vinson. Scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, this event aims to honor Vinson’s memory while offering tangible assistance to his loved ones.

Michael Vinson, affectionately known as “Mike Mike,” served with unwavering dedication in both the Laurens County Fire Service and Clinton City Fire Departments. Tragically, he lost his life in the line of duty near Highway 72 on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

The car wash fundraiser, spearheaded by Skyler Williamson of Sky’s Soap & Suds Detailing & Pressure Washing and Samuel Turner of Turner Auto Detailing, will take place at 115 W Main Street in Clinton. From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, volunteers will be on hand to wash and shine vehicles, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Michael’s family.

Understanding the importance of maximizing support, the organizers will focus solely on exterior car washing. They encourage community members to participate by bringing their vehicles and making a donation for each wash and shine.

Anyone with questions can contact Skyler Williamson at 86-4340-8697.

Your involvement in this event not only honors Michael Vinson’s memory but also extends a heartfelt gesture of support to his grieving family. Let’s come together as a community on April 13th to wash cars, share memories, and most importantly, support the family of a true hero – Fireman Michael Vinson.
