Swamp Fox Players announce auditions for “It’s a Wonderful Life”

The Swamp Fox Players will hold open auditions for their upcoming holiday production of It’s a Wonderful Life, directed by Ellen Hart McKinstrie, at the Strand Theater, 701 Front Street in Georgetown. Auditions will take place on Saturday, August 1 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, and on Sunday, August 2 from 2:00  – 4:00 pm. Actors are asked to park in the rear parking lot and enter through the stage door.

Roles Available: Auditions are open to performers of various ages for a wide range of principal and supporting roles, including: 

• George Bailey (mid-30s to 40s) & Young George (age 12)

• Mary Hatch Bailey (mid-30s) & Young Mary (ages 10–12)

• Clarence Odbody (Angel Second Class, age 40+)

• Henry F. Potter (age 50+)

• Uncle Billy (mid-50s)

• The Bailey Children: Pete (12), Tommy (6–12), Janie (6–12), and Zuzu (6–12)

Additional adult and youth roles for townspeople, family members, and featured characters.

The performance will run in December, with evening shows scheduled at 7:30 pm for December 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12, and 2:30 pm matinee shows on December 6 and 13.
