Sweetgrass Inn announces Director of Spa at Sweetgrass

Sweetgrass Inn, Wild Dunes Resort’s new signature hotel opening this spring, is pleased to announce Dawn Spann as Director of the Spa at Sweetgrass Inn. Spann will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Spa at Sweetgrass, a 10,000 square-foot spa featuring 14 treatment rooms and indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces, including a 3,000 square-foot private outdoor spa garden, with plunge pools and cabanas. The Spa at Sweetgrass will open in March and will offer massages, body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures, makeup and hair services as well as wellness programs like yoga and meditation.
“Dawn Spann has extensive experience managing luxury spas and wellness organizations,” says John D’Angelo, director of resort operations at Wild Dunes Resort. “The Spa at Sweetgrass Inn will be a true destination spa, and we are confident that with Dawn’s leadership we will be able to provide guests with an inimitable, tranquil experience.”
Spann has over 18 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, including 10 years with Destination Hotels & Resorts. Facilities she has helped launch include Glade Spring Spa at Suncadia Resort, Cliff House Resort & Spa and Release Wellbeing Center. Spann has also contributed to multiple projects by developing design concepts, spa and wellness programs, sourcing FFE and OSE specifications, creating pre-opening proforma, financial modeling and leadership support. Recent projects she has been involved with include Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel, Athens, Greece; the St. Regis, Marbella, Spain; Belmond Cap, Juluca, Anguilla; Mii Amo, Sedona, Arizona; The Woodlands Resort, Woodlands, Texas; Howard Hughes Hotel, Summerlin, Las Vegas; and The Houstonian Hotel Club and Spa, Houston, Texas.
