SWU Wins Four Communications Awards

GREENVILLE, SC – June 3, 2009 – Southern Wesleyan University’s Public Relations Department received four awards at a banquet May 19. The Greenville Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications presented the awards.

The university was presented with a Matrix Award for their “Quick Facts” brochure in the category of Single Printed Piece, Four or More Color; and the university’s Web site won a Matrix Award in the Web Page Overall Design (non-profit) category. Janelle Montgomery, Southern Wesleyan’s Director of Public Relations, was recognized with Certificates of Achievement for her article “Chinese student follows dream, prayer” in the Magazine Feature Article, External Publication (non-profit) category; and for “Focus” Magazine in the Best Overall External Magazine category. 

The Association for Women in Communications is an international professional organization that champions the advancement of women across all communications disciplines. The Matrix Awards competition is open to all professional communicators in the Upstate.
