Sylvan Learning Center awards teacher of the month

Gordon Williams has been named Sylvan Learning Center’s teacher of the month.
Williams began his involvement with Sylvan’s Columbia location in May of 2010. Equipped with a master’s degree in from the University of South Carolina, Williams has long been one of Sylvan’s go-to teachers for upper-level Math Essentials, SAT Prep Math and math homework support. While math has proven to be his specialty, Williams teaches nearly all subjects.
“Gordon is flexible and dedicated,” said nominator Sharon Smith, director for Sylvan Learning Center of Columbia. “He works hard to make sure his students improve, whether they are working on study skills, math, reading or understanding their homework. He’s perfect for this honor.”
