Sylvan Learning Centers to open for in-person tutoring next week

The Sylvan Learning Centers in Anderson, Spartanburg and Greenville counties will be opening back up to in-person tutoring sessions next week, but with valued added precautions due to COVID-19.
“After reviewing Gov. McMaster’s updates and CDC guidelines, we have decided now is the time to reopen, but with added safety measures,” said Amy Gardner, the franchise owner for Sylvan Learning in the Upstate. “We want parents and children to feel safe when coming back to in-center learning environments.”
Some of the changes at the three sites will include no more than two students at a table; each student will be six feet from the other students; teachers will wear clear face shields; the lobby and waiting areas will remain closed to seating; everyone will get a temperature check when entering; students and teachers will use hand sanitizer before and after each session; and all iPads and tables will be sanitized before and after each session.
Gardner also stated, “We will continue to offer the virtual Live Online Instruction for those still uncomfortable coming into the center, eventually moving that to be a virtual third seat at our instruction tables.”
