T. Eugene Allen, III Joins the Board of Directors of the FDCC Foundation

COLUMBIA, SC — October 23, 2007 –  T. Eugene Allen, III, a Member (partner) in Nexsen Pruet’s Columbia office, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the FDCC Foundation, the educational and charitable arm of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.

Allen practices primarily in the litigation, creditor’s rights, and bankruptcy areas and has extensive experience in insurance coverage, insurance litigation, lender liability, commercial law, and consumer issues.

He is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Law and a Certified Circuit Court Mediator. Additionally, he is a former president of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association and has spent many years on the FDCC Board of Directors.

Allen earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the USC School of Law.
The non-profit Foundation of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel was founded in 1960, and remains the oldest foundation of all defense lawyer organizations in the United States. It promotes the FDCC’s goals as they relate to the study and research of the law, providing support for the continuing education of lawyers and other parties in the fields of civil law and litigation.
