TakoSushi announces new Forest Acres location to open May 14

Restaurant showcasing Latin and Asian cuisine marks second Midlands location
Columbia-based culinary enterprise Food People Restaurant Group, owned by local entrepreneurs Chris Sullivan and James Williams, announces the expansion of its popular TakoSushi brand to Forest Acres. Located at 4711 Forest Dr. in the Forest Hills shopping center, the restaurant will officially open its doors at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14.

The new location features TakoSushi’s signature Latin and Asian menu offerings, including sushi rolls, sashimi, soups, tacos and a variety of specialty drink options. Designed to cater to both families and food enthusiasts, the restaurant boasts a modern and inviting interior design along with ample outdoor dining space perfect for casual lunches, dinners and special occasions.

The new 2,400-square-foot TakoSushi, with indoor seating for 76 and outdoor seating for 40, will be open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The Forest Park shopping center, located in the heart of Forest Acres, is also home to Lowes Foods, Eggs Up Grill, the UPS Store, CVS and other businesses.
TakoSushi has multiple locations across South Carolina and Georgia, including 1332 Main St. in the historic Arcade Mall in downtown Columbia. The company also plans to open a third Midlands-area location at the corner of West Main and Church Streets in Lexington later this year.
