Tasting Notes raises record $52,000

April 11, 2018

The South Carolina Philharmonic had its most successful fundraising event ever March 26, 2018, when the sixth annual Tasting Notes at the S.C. State Museum raised a net of more than $52,000.

Tasting Notes also broke an attendance record, completely selling out and even surpassing its attendance limit of 550. The S.C. Phil limits attendance to avoid congestion during the wine and food tastings.

Special thanks to Tasting Notes 2018 grand sponsor Ameris Bank, and gold sponsor Schmoyer & Company, LLC. Silver sponsors were BB&T, BlueCross BlueShield of SC, Centaurus, Colonial Life, Elliott Davis, FACES, Hoyt & Liz Wheeler, Marcia Stine, McDowell-Pearman, LLC, Mustard Graphics Studio, NBSC, Palmetto Health, Southern Valet, and Terminix. Media sponsors were Columbia Metropolitan and WXRY.

The S.C. Phil would also like to thank its generous restaurant partners from around Richland and Lexington counties: 116 Espresso & Wine Bar, Alodia’s Cucina Italiana, Blue Marlin Steaks & Seafood, Bourbon Columbia, Grill Marks, Main Street Public House, Miyo’s & M Vista, Motor Supply Co. Bistro,
Mr. Friendly’s, Pearlz Oyster Bar & Kaminsky’s Dessert Café, Ristorante Divino, Tallulah, Terra, The Melting Pot, The Oak Table, Thirsty Fellow, Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar,  Twisted Spur, and Villa Tronco.

The seventh annual Tasting Notes is expected to take place Monday, March 25, 2019. An event venue and additional details will be announced by fall 2018.
