Taylors Fire and Sewer District announces grand opening of new headquarters and maintenance facility
January 20, 2025The Taylors Fire and Sewer District is proud to announce the grand opening of its new 20,600 square-foot headquarters and 4,400 square-foot maintenance building on January 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Located at 463 West Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687, the state-of-the-art facility is designed to honor the community’s 1920s textile heritage while offering modern upgrades to serve Taylors’ growing population.
Replacing the current station across the street, the new headquarters includes three full drive-thru apparatus bays and one rear bay, ensuring quick and efficient response times. The building will house administrative offices and living quarters for firefighters, with ample space for future needs. Additionally, the facility features a large community/training room that can accommodate up to 60 people for firefighter training.
“We are excited to open this new facility, which will not only enhance the services we provide but also reflect the rich history of Taylors,” said Bobby Baker, Fire Chief of the Taylors Fire and Sewer District. “This new station will improve our ability to serve the community and ensure we are prepared for the future. It’s an investment in the safety and well-being of our residents.”
The grand opening will include a hose uncoupling ceremony, followed by tours of the new facility. Members of the community, local officials, and media are invited to join in the celebration. Light refreshments will be provided, and families are encouraged to attend.
Taylors Fire and Sewer District would like to thank the community, DP3 Architects, Hogan and all those involved in all aspects of bringing our new station to fruition.
