TD Bank joins the South Carolina Wildlife Federation as exclusive sponsor for Conservation dinner “Forks, Knives, and Spoonbills” at Spotted Salamander

Spotted Salamander Executive Chef Jessica Shillato Releases Six-Course Menu

The South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) announced TD Bank as the exclusive partner for their event “Forks, Knives, and Spoonbills: A Dinner Celebrating Conservation.” The special event hosted by Spotted Salamander on January 24^th will feature a six-course meal containing unique dishes inspired by imperiled species of birds. Participants will be led through each course by SCWF Habitat Education Manager, Jay Keck, and will learn about each bird species and the conservation efforts needed to help it thrive.

“We are very excited to have TD Bank join us for an evening of conservation and amazing local food,” said SCWF Executive Director Sara Green. “Strong event partners help us raise even more awareness for the needs of our local wildlife and we greatly appreciate their support.”

Spotted Salamander Executive Chef, Jessica Shillato, recently released the menu for the evening. Alcohol pairings will also be provided with each course.

1. Purple Gallinule: beet brined deviled egg with bbq chicken skin furikake
2. Wood Thrush: goat cheese toast with crispy prosciutto, herbs and honey
3. Painted Bunting: cilantro and saffron pickled shrimp, piquant sauce, purple potato salad, bib
4. Prothonotary Warbler: sweet tea sauced pork belly, pecans, whippoorwill peas and gold rice, brazilian aji verde sauce.
5. Eastern Meadowlark. reverse seared butter basted beef steak with Congaree milling sweet corn spoonbread chive sauce
6. Roseate Spoonbill: pink champagne cake with rose buttercream, raspberry coulis
