TD Bank names Scott Sharp regional vice president for South Coast Market

CHARLESTON, SC – TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has named Scott Sharp as regional vice president for its South Coast Market, a region that spans from Charleston to Hilton Head in South Carolina. He will be responsible for managing a team of commercial bankers to expand TD’s market share and continue building the bank’s brand of legendary service with customers and the community.

Sharp assumes leadership of the South Coast Market after serving as TD Bank’s regional vice president of the North Coast Region of South Carolina. He joined The South Financial Group in 2009, which was acquired by TD Bank in 2010, and has served in a variety of commercial banking roles within the organization during his tenure with the bank. Prior to this, Sharp served as Beaufort County President for Woodlands Financial Corporation in Bluffton, S.C. He began his career in education as a mathematics teacher and athletics coach in Bluffton and Hilton Head, S.C.

Sharp’s achievements span nearly two decades with community leadership roles on the board of directors for a long list of organizations including the Coastal Carolina Athletic Association, the Horry Georgetown Technical College Foundation, the Grand Strand YMCA, the Coastal Discovery Museum, the USCB Business School and the Hilton Head Bluffton Lacrosse Association.

Sharp earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications and Economics from the State University of New York and received his Master of Education in Mathematics from Converse College.
