TD Charitable Foundation supports Hope Center for Children with donation

The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, recently donated a total of $5,500 to Hope Center for Children as part of the foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Hope Center for Children, formerly the Children Shelter of the Upstate and the Ellen Hines Smith Girls’ Home, exists to build stable, healthy families and provide children a safe place from abuse and neglect. Five primary programs offer a continuum of services that provide around-the-clock care for children who are victims of abuse or neglect and preventative support for families at risk of child abuse or neglect. In the past year, Hope Center for Children has served 3,086 children and families.
The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will support Hope Center’s Transitional Living Program, a structured 18-month program that offers support to young adults ages 16 to 22, who are homeless, including teenage mothers and youth who are aging out of the foster care system. The program provides shelter and individualized support to meet each youth’s academic, professional, and personal goals as they gain the skills needed to live independently.
