Teri Leigh Teed’s Healing Spirit Art Photography selected for international Our Bond With Nature exhibition

Teri Leigh Teed’s fine art photograph, “Fog over Waterrock Knob”, part of her “Healing Spirit Art©” portfolio, has been selected for an Award of Excellence in the New York based Our Bond With Nature exhibition, which runs from October 25 – December 25, 2018. Teed is one of 66 contemporary artists from around the world chosen for the juried show.

Our Bond With Nature exhibition is featured on the Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS website www.healing-power-of-art.org. The organization is a community of artists, writers and activists who believe that art can serve as a catalyst for healing individuals, society and the environment, with a mission to raise awareness for positive change through art.

“One of our main purposes of this exhibition is to raise awareness by presenting a variety of powerful visual images and artists’ statements created by artists who care about the state of our environment. The artists selected demonstrate originality, innovation and technical skill in their chosen medium”, states Renée Phillips, Founder/Director of Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS and Director/Curator of Manhattan Arts International.

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Teed is a multi-dimensional, award winning artist based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina near Sylva. Along with her visual artwork, Teed is also a songwriter and the author of “Seasons of the South, the Original Homegrown and Musical Storytelling Show©”, which raises awareness for regenerative agriculture. Her stories and poetry are featured in numerous publications, including DailyGood.org, a portal dedicated to sharing inspiring and positive news from around the world.

“Healing Spirit Art©”, the name of Teed’s artwork, blends fine art nature and landscape photography, stories, poetry, and songs with positive, inspirational and life-affirming thoughts and energies. Her logo features a mountain laurel branch, which represents her love for the western North Carolina mountains she calls home. Teri Leigh Teed is a member artist (photography, literature and music) of the North Carolina Artist Council and her photography is featured in numerous publications including the Editor’s Picks on BlueRidgeParkwayDaily.com.

A graduate of Sotheby’s Institute, London, Teri received her M.A. Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors from the University of Buckingham, England and was employed by HM Queen Elizabeth II. Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous juried shows, including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and she is a recipient of Awards of Excellence in Manhattan Arts International juried exhibitions. A Featured Artist in the Manhattan Arts International programs, she is also a contributing author and artist for the Healing Power of Art and Artists online magazine.
