The Boudreaux Group bolsters team with influx of talent

COLUMBIA, SC  – September 10, 2013 – The Boudreaux Group broadened its expertise this summer by adding four new sources of energy and talent to its design studio: Joette Flora, AIA, LEED BD+C; Justin Lucas, AIA; Kimberly Steele, AIA; and Tiara Williams, Associate AIA.

Joette Flora, AIA, LEED AP BD+C – Architect
With 25 years of experience, Joette has rejoined The Boudreaux Group as a Project Architect. First a part of The Boudreaux Group from 2002–2006, Joette has worked on high profile projects including the Charles R. Drew Wellness Center and Blythewood High School; she now working on USC’s School of Law. A native of the Philippines, Joette received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of the Philippines. She then distinguished herself by earning both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As such, she brings our clients a discerning eye and deep technical savvy. Joette is a registered architect in South Carolina and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Justin Lucas, AIA – Architect
With over 13 years of experience as a Project Architect, Justin is an all-around talent. A building code wiz, Justin’s extensive experience with programming, design, construction administration, and 3D modeling gives him the expertise to detail a multitude of project types. Currently, he is transforming the Decker Mall into Richland County’s Central Courts and Regional Sheriff’s Headquarters. A native of Mississippi, Justin brought his skills and passion to Columbia and The Boudreaux Group team from Mobile, AL. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University and he is a registered architect in South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. Justin is a past-president of the Mobile Alabama Chapter of AIA (2012), has served on the building committee for St. Mary’s Home (a residential program for children) and was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

Kimberly Steele, AIA – Architect
Best described as a passionate and detail-oriented architect, Kim excels at solving technical issues without sacrificing design quality or functionality. With a background in accounting, Kim has over 10 years of architectural experience that has given her the expertise needed to effectively communicate and coordinate on even the most complex of projects. Kim’s extensive background in healthcare design, religious architecture and historic preservation quickly made her a valuable asset to our design team. She is currently detailing St. Anne’s new Catholic Church in Richmond Hill, Georgia. A native of Florida, Kim moved to Columbia from Louisiana in order to join The Boudreaux Group team. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and a Master of Architecture with a Concentration in Historic Conservation from Louisiana State University.

Tiara Williams, Associate AIA – Intern Architect
A team player, Tiara’s spirit of collaboration and uncompromising work ethic was a perfect fit for The Boudreaux Group. Tiara has over eight years of experience with all aspects of architecture: from 3D modeling, to developing project drawings, to construction administration. Tiara is currently working on the renovation of Hamilton College into a home for USC’s College of Social Work. A native of Louisiana, Tiara moved to Columbia from Louisiana in order to join The Boudreaux Group team. She received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from South University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. Tiara served as both a member and as Vice-Chair of the building committee at Faith Chapel of God in Baton Rouge. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
