The Boudreaux Group receives Woman-Owned Business (WBE) Certification

COLUMBIA, SC – October 16, 2013 The Boudreaux Group announced its certification as a Woman-Owned Business (WBE) as recognized by South Carolina’s Governor’s Office of Small Minority Business Assistance.  With the completion of its ownership transition at the end of last year, firm President Heather Mitchell is now majority owner which allowed the firm to embark upon the certification process with the state.  With the process now complete, the firm celebrates that it is officially a certified WBE.

The WBE designation is a tremendous opportunity and we are both honored and humbled by it. said Mitchell. We are confident that it will create new opportunities as our firm continues to grow and we are grateful for the network and support the designation provides.

Heather has progressed in her leadership role since joining The Boudreaux Group in 1995 as an intern architect. Advancing from corporate associate to principal, she was named President of the firm in November 2006. She assumed majority ownership in December 2012 upon the retirement of firm founder, John Boudreaux. Randy Huth, AIA, the firm’s Executive Vice President, is also a shareholder.
