The Brandon Agency honored with Golden Tusk Award by the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society for “Save Our Nurses” Campaign

January 3, 2018

The Brandon Agency, the most creatively awarded agency in the Carolinas, was awarded a Golden Tusk award by the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) for creating the “Save Our Nurses” e-marketing and social media campaign.

The Brandon Agency founded, developed and created the “Save Our Nurses” e-marketing and social media campaign for client, LINET—a global supplier of health and nursing products, specializing in medical beds that offer a unique patient repositioning system.

LINET has been steadily growing to gain market share behind Stryker and Hill-Rom since its U.S. launch in 2010. Having exhausted traditional marketing approaches, LINET’s executive team challenged The Brandon Agency with developing a “disruptive” marketing strategy to help create awareness of LINET, powered by Hercules, hospital beds as a solution to a major problem facing the healthcare industry. It is a well-known fact that hospitals’ frontline heroes—their nurses—suffer from a myriad of pain and suffering on a daily basis due to the rigors of repositioning patients. The LINET, powered by Hercules, solution was the first hospital bed on the market to address this problem.

The Brandon Agency team met the challenge head-on and created a movement to revolutionize healthcare forever — to SAVE OUR NURSES. Fortified by the website Saveournurses.com and a multichannel social media presence, this campaign was designed to create awareness among C-Suite decision-makers of the plight facing the nursing profession regarding medical beds. The movement would create an emotional connection from the “ground up” to influence a change in purchase behavior that offered both patient-centric benefits and a way to save our nurses.

From the activation of the Save Our Nurses Facebook page on September 23, 2016, through November 15, 2016, the campaign generated:

·      210 bed demo requests

·      12,307 Facebook followers

·      28% organic fan base generation

·      Facebook reach of 524,717

·      Fan engagement of 21,758

·      529 new Ambassador Program members

Businesses from across the Carolinas gathered to recognize the healthcare campaigns awarded at the awards ceremony, hosted annually by CHPRMS, in Asheville, N.C. in November 2017. The Brandon Agency’s New Business Director Barry Sanders attended the awards ceremony and graciously accepted the Golden Tusk award on behalf of The Brandon Agency and LINET.

“We are proud to be say we created and continue to support the Save Our Nurses movement and are honored for our strategic e-marketing and social media campaign to be recognized by CHPRMS,” said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency. “Our team has worked exceptionally hard on this campaign and we are thrilled to be a part of such an impactful message and movement.”
