The Brew – Chamber to Host Local Networking Session May 17

May 15, 2023

The Laurens County Chamber is brewing something up again.

In partnership with Main Street Laurens, the Chamber is hosting the next edition of “The Brew” on Wednesday, May 17 from 8 – 9 am. at Verdin’s Too in Laurens (125 E. Laurens Street).

Join others in the community for coffee and conversation. Networking & refreshments begin at 8:00 and the presentation will start at 8:30 am. The guest speaker for this edition of The Brew is local entrepreneur Kim Verdin, owner of Verdin’s Too, an open air garden and gift market.

The concept of The Brew is that presenters pitch ideas or challenges for their business and receive input from the audience that will help accomplish stated goals.

Prior sessions of The Brew have been very successful. In January Tom Ashley, owner of Lakeview Bar-B-Q food truck presented some of their challenges including when to consider transitioning to full time with the barbecue business. A very engaged group provided input regarding marketing, social media and more. On March 6 Ashley announced that he was retiring from his career as a truck driver and going full time with Lakeview Bar-B-Q food truck.

If you haven’t attended The Brew, you should. It’s a great way to engage with business owners and provide support for growing businesses based on your own experience.

See you on Wednesday at Verdin’s Too.
