The Casual Pint enters Columbia

The fastest growing franchise in the craft beer industry expands to the Columbia, South Carolina market
The Casual Pint, the nation’s fastest growing craft beer market franchise, is proud to bring its unique craft beer experience to Columbia, South Carolina. Owned by local entrepreneur Doug Harmon, the expansion will comprise of three stores with the first one slated for a spring 2016 grand opening.

Owner, operator and local entrepreneur Doug Harmon began the process of opening the newest Casual Pint franchise in late September of 2015. The site selection process was initiated shortly thereafter and the developmental stage is currently in process. Columbia beer enthusiasts will soon be able to experience the Casual Pint mission of sharing the craft beer experience in neighborhoods one pint, one growler and one person at a time.
“Craft beer isn’t a passing fad. This college town has a thriving craft beer scene that is eager for a community-driven business like The Casual Pint,” said Harmon. “With college graduates and young professionals opting to stay in Columbia, our city deserves a place where everyone can enjoy artisan brews without worrying about the usual bar environment. After all, this is not a bar. It’s a beer café.”
Slated as the 13th store for the nationwide franchise, and South Carolina’s second location, Columbia’s Casual Pint will join Greenville and other locations throughout the United States. Each franchise features hundreds of bottled local, domestic and international brews as well as an ever-changing multiple tap wall for take-home growlers and on-site tastings in a dedicated bar area.
